SY (Single-stage), 2SY (Two-stage) Series Water Ring Compressors and Packages
Overview
The SY series water ring compressors are especially suitable for handling gases containing water vapor, dust, flammable and explosive components, and gases that may react chemically at high temperature. They are widely used in petrochemical, pharmaceutical and city gas industries for compression, transportation and tail-gas recovery of flammable and explosive gases.
The 2SY series features high discharge pressure, compact structure, smooth operation and near-isothermal compression. Because there is no direct metal-to-metal friction during operation, wear is minimal and the compressor can run continuously with low maintenance demand. The high-pressure end uses a flexible discharge valve structure to keep the discharge pressure within 0.3MPa to 0.8MPa, allowing the compressor to operate at an optimal efficiency point. Externally flushed double mechanical seals ensure no leakage of the compressed medium.
Features and Applications
Because the compression process in a water/liquid ring compressor is nearly isothermal, it is highly suitable for compressing flammable and explosive gases, including vinyl chloride, styrene, oxides, vinyl chloride monomer, sulfur dioxide, hydrogen sulfide, benzene, butadiene and chlorine in chemical and petrochemical processes.
