Vacuum units are used in an increasingly wide range of applications. Correct operation during installation and maintenance is important for reliable use. The following points summarize key maintenance precautions for vacuum units.
Water ring vacuum pump units require regular inspection and maintenance so the equipment can operate reliably over the long term. When replacing diaphragms, the pump head should be lifted before disassembly to prevent falling damage. When removing pistons, use a special pointed tool to remove the packing ring from its groove without damaging the groove. When disassembling the adjustment mechanism, mark the stroke length position and ensure the measured stroke length matches the scale.
The worm gear and worm of the water ring vacuum pump unit should be inspected for intact teeth, cracks and broken teeth. During installation, check the meshing contact. Pump valve inspection should include aging or deformation of the sealing ring, loss of spring force, and wear or corrosion of the valve port and core. The valve end face should be flush with the pump body flange. Maintenance requirements vary by machine, so regular checks help improve use and operating efficiency.
