Anti-corrosion Measures for Vacuum Pumps

Roots vacuum pumps have high anti-corrosion requirements. If corrosion protection is not handled properly during operation, the pump can suffer serious damage, reduced service life and lower operating performance. The following are common anti-corrosion measures for vacuum pumps.

For improved corrosion resistance, chemical ceramic lining can be armored inside the cast-iron casing of the pump body and the flow areas of the two side covers. Adhesive is filled between the cast-iron casing and ceramic layer, and resin is used to seal the connection end faces. The impeller is fixed to the main shaft with a steel key, and protective sleeves on both sides prevent the shaft from contacting corrosive media. Mechanical seals are used at both shaft ends, helping improve the corrosion resistance and working reliability of Roots pumps.
